| Magnetic Echoes is one of those songs which is neon, psychedelic, surrealist and serves a plate of it's own energy. It was recorded at The Studio in Portland, Maine and at OMNIsound studio in Nashville. It features Juliet Nightingale and I. This song has guitars, synth, basses, drums, percussion, piano and vocals. I played everything except the piano. Juliet played with her heart and soul. It has about 4 layers of piano and her unique backing vocals. I pulled out everything except the piano in a certain section where it fits very well. Then we add a poetic surge of spoken vocals. I work mostly in The Studio. I feel most comfortable there. When we monitor as we record there I am playing or singing right along with the full mix. OMNIsound does it differently. One side of your headphone has the mix and the other side has what you are recording at the time along with the full mix in the other side. I don't work well that way. I can never seem to get the volume just right in either ear so I can't really hear what I am doing and it takes a lot of guess work. I have to fix the drums in places due to the fact. I have a lot to do on this song but when it's done I feel it will sound creatively interesting.
